ghoulnextdoor: art by unomoralez I found Uno Moralez’s art via Monster Brains earlier today; it’s a lurid combination of compelling and repugnant and I can’t look away. It reminds me vaguely of the really gross cartoons that I remember the boys being obsessed with in 5th grade…and yet some of them, like the above, are really quite charming on some level. Overall, one doesn’t know whether to be more frightened of the monsters or the ordinary looking people, and I think that’s what makes it most unsettling for me personally.  Here is a good example, and this is another great one.
